Ethiopia

Some of the richest coffees in the world come from the mountain regions of the Ethiopian rift valley, and we source our coffees from cooperatives in that region. Ethiopian beans vary greatly in taste from region to region, and we buy coffee from both the Yergecheffe and Harrare regions.

Much of our Yergacheffe coffee comes from the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union, which consists of indigenous growers from the southwest rainforest region of Ethiopia. Oromia growers are world renowned for their excellent products and heirloom techniques. Our Yergacheffe carries an exotic tropical aroma.
Coffee also holds a significant place in the Ethiopian culture and is used for ceremonial purposes.
